SoundWaters

Purpose

Provide a "one day university for all" to help the public learn about a wide variety of topics related to the appreciation and preservation of our environment and marine resources.

Description

In thirteen years Sound Waters: A One Day University has grown from approximately twelve Participants to over 500 in 2007, with a faculty of over 60 experts. Each May, a committee of volunteers and staff begins planning for the next February event. As a volunteer opportunity, in addition to serving on the committee, the day of the event calls for all hands on deck!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to work on the Sound Waters planning committee. On the day of the event, we need all hands on deck to help with parking, registration, introductions, and general hospitality and logistics.
