Bones !!
Purpose:
Create museum quality specimens from marine mammals found washed up on our beaches.
Description:
Periodically, a wonderful marine specimen comes along, and dedicated Beach Watchers spend way more time than they planned for, to clean, catalog, and rearticulate the bones so that they can be used in educational displays.
Some examples:
- 1998-2000 - Rosie the Gray Whale
- 2002 - Salty the Sea Lion
- 2004 - Rudy the Dall's Porpoise
